tooth whitening products and the majority that come in chemical form are usually made up of carbamide and hydrogen peroxide compounds. The function of the hydrogen peroxide bleaches the enamel into its true white colour.
Carbamide peroxide is a similar compound that comes in different concentrations. Teeth whiteners that are peroxide based usually come in the form of a gel. One other set of products that may be used for teeth whitening are products such as whitening strips and certain brands of whitening toothpastes. Teeth whiteners that do not come directly from the dentist don’t come provided with a mouthguard, these are usually called home based teeth whitening kits. People should always make sure they take time out to get a proper fitting mouthguard because one that fits poorly could have a somewhat less effective reach than other products.
Crowns, veneers and bonding are all part of the whitening process as well. Crowns are in themselves little thin casings that cover the entire tooth. While crowns encase the whole tooth veneers cover the front of the teeth. Crowns tend to last much longer than veneers and since veneers may last up to 15 years, crowns may be much more preferable. Bonding is usually used for damaged teeth but can be used in conjunction with either veneers or crowns as a cosmetic whitening procedure. Another procedure of teeth whitening is the laser teeth whitening procedure. Laser teeth whitening is a somewhat more expensive procedure and it is a whole lot faster than the other procedures. If you have the money to opt for a quick teeth whitening procedure then laser teeth whitening is the one to choose.

what is the difference between £300 teeth whitening provided by a dentist and £3 ebay products?
The mouth moulds can also be created from some of the cheap ebay products. And even the £300 whitening is self applied (not done by the dentist). The only difference I have read was cheaper products may be more acidic, so is it worth paying more?

Is there such thing a whitening teeth paint?
I have one rotten tooth (yellow). I have been to the dentist who has told me bleaching would not work as the tooth is not just stained, but actually discoloured. They told me that a veneer is the only option. However they are very expensive.

I have looked on the internet and there are so many different ways to whiten teeth. I am not going down the route of damaging my teeth enamel by making up some baking soda or using abrasive tooth pastes which damage enamel.

I've been using an enamel protection toothpaste because my teeth are sensative and brush twice a day. Lately I've noticed my gums are receding pretty bad and I have sensitivity issues along my gum line. I brush my teeth rather aggressively because I feel I don't get them clean if I do not scrub harder. What can I do to improve whiteness, reduce sensitivity and improve my gums?
